It's been a while since I last made an update, so here we are :b
Life itself
I got back to college this week. Unfortunately, some issues have arisen and I will have to change from career. At least the change has no cost, but it's still all of a mess. I'm not really worried tho, I've been through worst issues, I hope I can share some of the works of my career in the site in the future :)
Nitainaga Island success
Nitainaga Island is the latest game I've released, and it took almost 4 months to be developed. My objective was to emulate the style of NES games, as some of you may be already aware, and by that I don't refer only to the art style, but also the graphic limitations of the console, technicalities, or even the fact that back in the day you had to check something called "instruction booklet" to see what the game could offer you.
The real stress came with the fact that my deadline was set for september 17th, and I finished the game just about september 16th. It was an interesting experience, and believe me when I say, I don't wanna see an NES game in a while :v. However, two important things I learned from this are:
- I will never make another ambitious game like this alone.
- Improvisation is useful, but planification is better and more important.
The game was kinda successful tho, since it got in the 8th position of today's p-bot daily picks, becoming an "almost winner". That's more than enough for me :)
Future projects
I have an schedule for other projects I have to work with. One is an art i'm making for someone's collab (event? jam? I dunno), and the other one... I can't really say, I dunno if I have the legal permission to speak about that. The point is I still have things to do and share. In the meantime, I wanna get back to doing art, and maybe some music, and if for whatever reason I start making another game, i'll try to make this one a simpler project, so my mind and body can relax.
Recommended Artists #6
I will get back to recommending artists. And that's it, I dunno what else to tell you about this.
And that'd be most of it. If you've got any question, feel free to ask. See ya around, and viva México!! (I know the day already passed, but i'm mexican, what can I do :b)
